Gillian Harrower

She doesn't look old enough, but Gillian has worked in the travel and tourism industry for over 20 years.

Gillian started in the industry as a travel agent and specialist travel consultant in Cambridge before moving onto senior marketing positions with Scottish Borders Tourist Board and Perthshire Tourist Board.

Between 2001 and 2005, she ran the highly successful Gillian Harrower Marketing & PR consultancy, which offered marketing, PR and project management services to a wide range of clients.

Gillian has led a number of major national and regional tourism initiatives and has particular specialisations in project management and co-ordination and public relations.

In her spare time she is a dedicated gardener and something of a wine buff.

Douglas definitely looks old enough to have clocked up almost 25 years experience of the tourism and leisure industries.

After spells in youth training, visitor attraction marketing and PR consultancy, he joined the Scottish Area Tourist Board network in 1987 and went on to hold senior marketing and management positions in Banff & Buchan, Dumfries & Galloway, Greater Glasgow & Clyde Valley, Edinburgh & Lothians and Perthshire Tourist Boards.

He has initiated and been involved in numerous national and international leisure and business tourism marketing campaigns and has led the development of many successful tourism initiatives with both public and private sector partners.

Douglas is an ex-Director of Perthshire Chamber of Commerce and an ex-member of the Board of Management of Perth College. He is currently Leader of the Slow Food Perth convivium and an active member of the Cittaslow Perth Steering Group.

In his spare time Douglas is an enthusiastic collector of reggae music and a keen supporter of Stranraer Football Club.
